Cricket is about to witness another innovation — the launch of Test Twenty, a format designed to bridge the gap between Test cricket and T20 excitement. Created by the One One Six Network, the 80-over contest will be played in four sessions of 20 overs each, with both teams batting twice.
The first Test Twenty season kicks off in January 2026 and will feature six global franchises — three international (Dubai, London, and one U.S. city) and three Indian teams. Each squad will consist of 16 players (8 Indian and 8 international), with 96 players drafted and 204 in the Wildcard Pool.
Cricket legends like Harbhajan Singh, AB de Villiers, Matthew Hayden, and Clive Lloyd have joined the Advisory Board to support this revolutionary idea.
