This means Owen will miss the final T20I and the entire three-match ODI series against South Africa, delaying his anticipated debut in the 50-over format.

Owen initially passed the on-field concussion assessment, but delayed symptoms surfaced hours later. Following medical guidelines, he was ruled out of all remaining matches against South Africa.

Other Injury Setbacks for Australia

Aaron Hardie and Matthew Kuhnemann, already with the T20I squad, will stay on for the ODIs. Kuhnemann’s last ODI appearance was more than three years ago.
